CASM Resource Loan Policy

Please read the following loan policy prior to requesting loan materials from CASM. We look forward to serving you and appreciate your adherence to these guidelines.

  1. All items in CASM's Resource Equipment Loan program may be borrowed free of charge for educational purposes by all formal and informal educators in CASM's five-county service area: Ingham, Eaton, Ionia, Clinton, and Shiawassee counties.
  2. Items may be borrowed for up to two weeks at a time.
  3. All materials must be requested at least two weeks in advance to allow for processing and delivery.
  4. Due to limited staff, CASM is unable to take phone orders or walk-in orders.
  5. Reservations for materials may be made up to one year in advance of the requested date(s).
  6. For schools with REMC service, most items may be shipped via REMC. For schools without REMC service, or for those items not capable of REMC shipment the borrower must pick up and return the items to CASM during regular business hours by the end of the two-week loan period.
  7. All borrowed items must be returned in the condition they were loaned and with all parts/components. Items that are returned damaged or missing parts may require replacement of such items or parts at the expense of the borrower.
